Trying Out Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo

After watching one of Kimmaytube's video about pH, I decided to cease use of my castile soap mix (at a pH level of 10, it would take way more water than I was using to dilute it for use on my hair) and go back to a commercial shampoo that's natural and eco-friendly. I went and bought Trader Joes Tea Tree Tingle shampoo for $4 to try out.

It has the same minty smell as the conditioner (which I've used in the past and still do occassionally and like) and left my scalp feeling tingly. I have this thing that if my scalp is tingling, then a product has really "done something". I don't know. Lol. Psychologically, I feel my scalp is then fresh and clean. The peppermint oil and tea tree oil in it gives it this effect that I luv.

This shampoo didn't dry my hair out or make it feel "stripped" like some online reviewers had experienced. I don't know if that's because I condition my hair before I wash it or not but I didn't experience any drying what so ever. My hair felt thoroughly clean but and my scalp wasn't stripped of its sebum. My scalp and hair felt great afterward and for only $4, I'm not complaining one bit. I may keep it around.

WORD! I saw that video about the PH and I was horrifies. It's so interesting tho, the last time i used it on my 6/7 months transitioning hair, my new growth felt SO weird and I just chalked up to like buildup or something.

Thank GOD for the internet.
Ahhh I've heard about this shampoo and have been meaning to try it! I have to find a Trader Joes! I'm all about finding a shampoo that doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped!!

P.S. I am the same way RE having to have the tingly feeling in order to feel like my hair is clean! lol

I am very very picky about my shampoo. I've tried all tea tree shampoos, and I haven't really been impressed with any of them. The only one that is of good quality is made from earth's organic Tea & Protein Shampoo. It seems to be better at getting my hair clean.

A large bottle of Tea & Protein shampoo is a little more expensive than the competition, but it doesn't take very much to get the job done, so it goes a long way and lasts a long time. Made from Earth also has a pleasantly clean and minty smelling fragrance which I and my family always enjoy. It always leaves my hair and scalp feeling pleasantly tingly, squeaky clean, easy to manage, and soft. My hair always looks shiney and healty too.
