My Hair: Blow Drying with Bee Mine and Grapeseed Oil

is a HIT!

Remember when I did a post about how grapeseed oil might make a good heat protectant for your hair? Well, I finally got around to trying it. I blew out my hair last weekend so that I could get it cornrowed for crochet braids (post on that coming up).

On freshly conditioned and washed hair, once damp, I applied Bee Mine Deja's Hair Milk to a section and then grapeseed oil before lightly blowing it out (on the low/medium setting). Let me tell you, my hair was very soft and felt great. In the past, the few times that I have blown my hair out, it usually felt somewhat dry and I figured that was just a side effect of blowing out kinky kurly hair (and you just had to re-moisturize). With the results I received this time around, I see that it doesn't have to feel dry afterward. The grapeseed oil also, in a way, helped the comb attachment on the blow dryer glide through my hair with much ease. I was very happy with the results. I didn't think to take pics, sorry!

I will next time b/c I plan to be rocking crochet braids or braided/flat twisted hair do's almost exclusively till next spring.

Products Used:
  1. Bee Mine Deja's Hair Milk
  2. Grapeseed Oil
  3. Andis blow dryer

I have been wanting to use grapeseed oil as a heat protectant my only question is did your hair revert normally afterwards?

I'm natural and I've been having a hard time finding sites like yours but glad I did anyway.

I really need to try this because blow drying my hair is always a disaster.

I'll be checking back often. :)
