Music That Can Mac // Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Friday and Happy Memorial Day weekend. Memorial Day weekend kicks off the unofficial start of the summer season. It's also a three day weekend and I'm always thankful for a long weekend! It's only suitable that we pop off this wonderful occasion with some great music. Below is a culmination of my good music picks for your weekend and whenever else. Wishing you all a safe and fun holiday weekend filled with sun, fun, a cookout or two and gratitude for the men and women who lost their lives in service of this country.

First up is a very good friend of mine, Brandon Crumbly. I've shared his projects on here countless times but he's just that good, you all, and he's at it again. He dropped the 3rd installment to his Dreamscape Series and if you like music that takes you on a magic carpet ride, you'll enjoy this project with a (potentially spiked) tropical drink or some fruit infused water and tapas while chilling in the sun or by the beach or pool. His soundcloud page doesn't have this one up for a listen but you can sample the project and purchase it on iTunes or his Bandcamp page.

Next up is my another good friend of mine, Siraj Nuri. She has a new album titled Hours coming out next month and released her new single earlier this week for the world to have a sneak peek. I featured her Land mixtape on here a few years ago and since then, fans have been hungry for more work from her and understandably so. I'm excited for the album to drop next month. Below is a visual teaser from her site to get into zone with her. Visit her site to hear her brand new single, Inhale. It's silky, rumbling and soulful. Enjoy a piece of dark chocolate and a glass of sweet shiraz (South African brand, Jam Jar is one of my faves!) while listening to it.

Teedra Moses is one of my fav singers (she's neck and neck with Selena!) and I've been rocking with her since my college days when her first album Complex Simplicity came out. She's definitely a friend in my head and it's been so wonderful to see her music career evolve and continue doing music now independently. I really like her latest single that recently dropped, Get It Right. If you like it, you can purchase on iTunes.
