Editor's Note: Where Have I Been?

Good morning and Happy Friday! I come to you to explain the disruption in updates on here. As you may have noticed, nothing new went live for July and more than likely only one or two posts will go live for this month and here is why:

  1. I burned out. As of right now, this space is still a one woman show (maybe that will change in the near future) and between my 9-5 job, my side hustles picking up (it's wedding season for my makeup artistry- every weekend I'm almost always booked) and other projects (like the 2nd edition to my first eBook I published earlier this year) I'm involved in, the free time I did have, I chose to sleep or do absolutely nothing.
  2. Carpel tunnel is mutha. My 9-5 is a desk job and for the past month or so, I've been on the computer and typing things way more that usual. By the time I'd get home/free time my wrists were like, "nah player", so I've been trying to lay off of my right wrist especially and need to just break down and the get that wrist brace to wear overnight.
  3. Was torn between moving the site over to the Wordpress platform or keeping it here on Blogger. AGrlCanMAC is my only site on Google's Blogger platform. All my other sites are on Wordpress and I really love it over there. I've tabled making a final decision about this for now, because there are other things that I want to focus on at this time, but this will come up again for me. If you're a blogger and have made the switch from Blogger to Wordpress, I'd love to hear any input you have about it.

The good news is that I haven't gone anywhere and I am totally continuing on with AGrlCanMAC. You can expect 1-2 posts for this month and September will resume back to a blogzine cover like we had for the months of April, May and June and cool content. The cover girl has been selected and I'm excited to share her with you all. Thank you always for your support and good energy.

If  you are on Periscope, I did my very first video broadcast on there last night and shared two book recommendations and two books that I'm about to start reading. I'm @AGrlCanMAC on there and the video will die around 8 or 9 o'clock this evening if you want to catch it before it goes away (I chose not to download the video to share on here because I will have better ones coming and with better lighting). I definitely plan to do more so stay tuned!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Milan-
Glad to see you haven't gone away for good! We all need a break sometimes! It's hard being a one-woman band. I look forward to your posts and hope that your wrist gets better sooner than later :)
