More Natural Hair Inspiration

Some more natural hair inspiration. I can't wait to rock some big, curly hair (worn with fly earrings, of course!)! :-] I know once I finally BC (Big Chop), here are some products I want to try:

* Komaza Care Coconut Curly Pudding (
* Denman Brush
* MaxiGlide Flat Iron (when I want to straighten)
* (Goodie) Hair Elastics (for pony puffs)
* Miss Jessie's Stretch Silkening Creme

I'm loving this website for natural and transitioning sistas:

My Transitioning Goal

I want my hair to be about this length by the time I BC (big chop) next October (2009). I don't know if this is feasible yet though, as I still don't really know my exact texture; curl pattern. I think I'm 3C-4A but I won't really be completely sure till I cut my relaxed ends off. But this is what I'm going to aim for.

So it's time to help my hair out as much as possible. I'm going to start taking Silica pills again. They promote healthy hair and nail growth. I'm also going to get back to my daily scalp massages with and with out my growth stimulating oil. YouTube got me all messed up. Thanks to all the natural ladies, I have this huuuuge list of things that I want to try. I feel like a Denman brush is a must for detangling, Goodie hair elastics for puffs, and some kind of styling aid to define my curls more. I'm looking at Komaza Care's Coconut Hair Pudding. Ladykpnyc on YouTube says they are the bomb and have you seen her hair? Nuff said. If ya don't know, ya better check her out.

I am documenting my Transitioning journey on My YouTube channel and you can see my most recent videos on the video bar here on the right side. So check me out if you are interested. You can also catch me at K.I.S.S network which is a great hair forum for women of color with natural, texlaxed, or relaxed hair to share great hair info and care and styling tips. You can check it out for yourself at K.I.S.S: It's going to be a fun ride!

Good Good

Ashanti's rockin some fly hairstyles in this video. It's remeniscent of the 1950's glamour and style. And the soda cans as rollers for the hair is too cute! I kinda wanna do that once my hair gets to be about half way down my back, do pin up style make up, and take a pic like that! It would certainly be a hot look to add to my portfolio. Next on the agenda are some blue and gold looks for my soRHOr to do for a step show she's in. Eeee-yip! =)
