So in the new year, I'm trying to make even more of my hair care products. First on my list is something natural that's equivalent to something between Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding and Miss Jessie's Curly Buttercreme. I found one recipe and I'll share it here.

Since I'm braided up till May, I won't be making or trying it out till then, unless I wanted to make a batch and try it out on my lil cousin. Anywhoo, feel free to try the recipe and let me know if it works or if and how you twirked it. I got it off of on the forum from the member, Shawnette.

SHAE'S PUDDING (Curly Pudding for the financially challenged)

* 12 oz Fantasia IC Polisher gel- the olive one NOTE: I will use aloe vera gel in mine
* 5 oz shea butter
* 1 oz EVOO NOTE: I will probably use macadamia nut oil or coconut oil

I wonder what would happen if I add coconut cream (concentrate) and vegetable glycerin to the mix what would that do for it? Hmmm.........

Well if this recipe sounds good to ya, please try it out and share your results!

DIY Guide: Kinky Twists

I love this hairstyle and think that they come out so pretty!

Practice makes perfect so don't give up if they don't look perfect right away. But these are the basics for how to do them. I want to try this sometime in the future. I still have tons of curly hair left to do tree/croche braids with tho. And I don't plan on buying any new hair till I've used it all up. So once I've used up all that hair, I will get some hair to try to do these on my own. Enjoy!

FOTN: A Night Out in The Nati

I'm still visiting the fam in the good ol Nati for the Holidays. :-) My sister and I went out this past Friday night with some of her friends to Final Fridays. It was at the Westin downtown. Some Bengals were in the house, drink prices were trying to get like Nyc (Cincinnati is NOT Nyc so Imma need them to not charge their drink prices like they are! LOL.), it was hot n packed, and the music was WHACK! In any event, ya girl looked good. Haha. Didn't get a pick of my outfit (strapless dk purple dress, brown wide belt, cheetah print peep toe heels and a smile) but here's the make-up look I was sporting:

FACE: The Body Shop Nature's Minerals in shade 06

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Inner Lid: an orangey gold (from my 80 color eye shadow palette)
Middle Lid: dk purple (from the new palette I got for X-mas see that post below)
Outer Lid: black
Highlighter: a sparkly beige color (from my new palette....)
Cover Girl Line Exact liquid liner pen
L'Oreal Bare Minerals mascara in Very Black
Cover Girl retractable eye liner in Brown Black to fill in my brows

LIPS: Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush lip gloss in Hot Cocoanut

If you want a tut on this look, let me know and I'll do a vid on my YouTube channel! Feel free to ask any questions you may have under comments or you can email me at

PS (I know you like my earrings! NYC ladies, I got them from Afaze (the one in Manhattan Mall) for $7!)

DIY Guide: Good Hair Day Everyday

Make your own wig. Wigs are great protective hair styles that give your hair a rest while still lookin and feelin like your fly self. Many women use the Crown & Glory method in conjuction with wigs by corn rowing their hair down and rocking wigs till their next wash.

I'm so going to make my own once I take my tree braids out (2 months from now (Haha)). "Imma a diva, Imma a diva........"

I'm on a blogging frenzy!!!!! Got another one comin at cha!

On The Wish List: InStyler

I so want one of these to try out on my hair once it's longer. It's a hair straightener with a brush on one side and a rotating barrel on the other side. If you check out their blog,, the October 13th entry titled: The InStyler on African American or Ethnic Hair, has Naturals aka "highly textured" hair ladies testifying that it works on our hair too! I think this is better than your traditional flat iron. I can't wait to get one and compare the two. And once I do, you already know I will post pics! Do any of you have one? If so, please share your results, thoughts and opinions.

For more info on the InStyler, check out their website:

Stuck A Feather in Her Hair......

And called it friggin dope! I'm so diggin feather hair accessories. I made a head band with feathers on them for myself and one for my sister as a Christmas present. I just luv how they punch up a simple hairstyle. So far, I've only played with basic color feather arrangements for headbands but next on my to craft list are to use some diff color feathers on hair clips and combs.

The accessories pictured can be found at but I am going to use them as inspiration to make my own. I'll share pics and details on how I made mine once I get around to creating some.

Stay blessed and beautiful.

Kiss Me, I'm a Curly Girl Now!!!!

So, I did the BC earlier this month. Yeah, yeah, I know I had said I was going to wait till May at the earliest to do it and blah blah blah... Well, I changed my mind and on December 8th I did like Nike and Just Did It. And I couldn't be happier! I don't regret cutting it at all. I have cute lil spirals type curly hair. I think my hair type includes 3C and 4A. I really like my curls. As always, I stay changing my look up. Since being home visiting, I got my hair tree, actually they are crochet, braided this past Tuesday. It's cold outside and I need some more hair on my head. Hahahaha. In the summer, it will be longer (and bigger) and I'll wear my hair out more then. Till it warms up, I'll be playing with tree/crochet braids, corn rows, and the C&G (crown & glory) method with wigs.

Natural/Curls today

Tree/Crochet Braided up tomorrow!

I luv this thing called hair! Stay blessed and beautiful!

Merry Christmas!/Add-to-WishList

First off, let me say, Merry Christmas everyone! I know I haven't been around all of this month. My comp broke among other craziness. LOL. Hope everyone is enjoying their Holidays with loved ones and friends and all. I'm home visiting for the Holidays and enjoying myself. One of my Christmas gifts was a make up palette with: 66 eye colors, 4 blushes, and 31 lips colors. My parents know me all too well. LOL. It's by Jasmine La Belle Cosmetics if anyone is interested.

I also have added this baby to my wish list recently:

It's the Luminess Air airbrush make-up system and I'm trying to be down! They can be purchased at and price ranges from $250 to $300. You may have seen the tv infomercials on it as well. I'm going to start saving my pennies so that I can buy one. This would be great to add to my make-up arsenal for myself and my make-up artistry biz. Do any of you own one? If so, do share your opinions!

Stay blessed and beautiful!
